Season’s Greetings – 2021-Q4 Results – 2022 Events

As 2021 draws to a close, we, first and foremost, thank our major sponsors, without whom, ATC would not have survived this second year of the pandemic:
New Balance South Africa: for the 13th year running, has provided ATC with the latest and best running shoes and gear for our development athletes, as well as top quality running gear, which we can sell to our members to generate funds for the club.
Isuzu South Africa & Reeds N1 City: for the use of an Isuzu D-MAX double-cab bakkie. This sponsorship is now it it’s 3rd year and the vehicles have been a valuable asset to the club, not to mention crucial for the execution of club activities.
Pegasys: for their generous donation, which was used to assist with our development activities.  A special word of thanks to Rogeema Kenny who was instrumental in arranging this.
Dr Tinashe Chandauka: for his generous donation, which was used to assist with our Senior Development activities.  Tinashe was a Student ATC Member years ago, when he got started in Triathlon, and is now working abroad in the medical field.
Last, but not least, a huge thank you to all the members who continued to support us, even though it was a much quieter year on the sporting front.

ATC Financials
As the secondary effects of the pandemic was more prevalent this year, for ATC, 2021 was a more challenging one than 2020. Our financial reserves have taken a huge knock as this year saw a massive drop in memberships, whilst our expenses remained pretty much the same. We had to pull out all the stops to maintain our development contributions. However, if things don’t improve in 2022, we will have some important decisions to face with this program.
 
The latter part of the year was exciting and manic as many events were crammed into 3 months (Sept – Nov). We are grateful to have finally completed events, originally planned for as far back as April 2020.
