Selection for Duathlon Nationals & Worlds
A reminder that your application for a slot in the Provincial or National Duathlon Teams must be submitted by tomorrow (Tuesday) 25 April. The 2017 SA Duathlon and LD Duathlon Championships will be hosted by KZN Triathlon on the 2nd of July 2017, at the Midmar Resort. You can view more details about selection and the National and World Championship events on our News Blog.
Training for Knysna Forest Marathon & Half
The Knysna Forest Marathon is the most beautifully scenic marathon, with a vast section of undulating off road terrain, steep downhill’s and a hard flat final piece. It is definitely not the easiest marathon but is easily the most rewarding. Embark has set up a 12 week program that combines all the necessary training so that you can feel confident going into the race.
The Half Marathon is a FAST, downhill 21.1km race and definitely one of the best courses to choose for that sought after PB (personal best). The Embark training program is focused on improving your downhill running so that you can have an overall faster time!
The training is fun and focused in a group environment, which includes three to four coached sessions and structured building and recovery phases. The program caters for new and beginner runners as well as intermediate athletes. Please visit www.embark.co.za or contact steve@embark.co.za

RESULTS:
Two Oceans
Congratulations to everyone who finished one of the Two Oceans Trail or Road Runs. We have published our club results on our Results Blog. Please note that only runners who entered under ATC Running will be listed. ATC Members who are licensed through other running clubs will unfortunately not appear on our results. The format in which results are provided does not enable us to search for all our members’ results. You are welcome to email us your result for inclusion in our results blog.
Special congratulations to Davide Del Fante and Greg Goodall for their Silver medals in the Ultra. In the Half, the following runners got silver: Jonathan Hartzenberg, Nicholas Koenig, Chris Muller, Michael Joseph, Dean Hopf, Jonty Low, Aashiek Parker, Tyron Ingle, Sean Tait and Rudi Oosthuizen.
Grant Fillmore received the first Bronze medal in the Half when he missed the silver by 15 seconds. This was his first “competitive” event after he took a long, very long, break from racing. Diane Mcewan, who was also on a long break from racing, made a great comeback to finish the Ultra in 4:34!
More detailed results of ATC Running can be viewed on our Results Blog.
