ATC AGM ’15 – Two Oceans Results – Canal Swim

NOTICE OF ATC AGM 2015:

Notice is hereby given of the ATC Multisport Annual General Meeting, which will be held on Tuesday 28 April 2015, at the Green Point Cricket Club, Vlei Road, Green Point, at 19:30. The Agenda and call for nominations to serve on the ATC Committee will be sent out in due course.

The evening will also serve as the launch of our new home and training facility at the GPCC so we promise that this will be no boring AGM!

Taste of Cape Town

You will notice a lot of non-TRI related activity on the GPCC fields currently. This is because they are setting up for the Taste of Cape Town festival happening from 10 to 12 April. To compensate for any inconvenience with our training all ATC members can two complimentary tickets to the festival. RESULTS:

Congratulations to everyone who completed the Two Oceans Marathon and Half Marathon! ATC’ers results are listed at the bottom of this email. Please note that these results are only the runners who are registered through ATC. If you belong to ATC but are registered through another club, please send us your result so we can add it. We would like to special mention of the following for their performance over the weekend:

Jonathan Hartzenberg (4:04), Tristan Kelly (4:18), Thalia Charalambous (4:36), Juan Carstens (4:44), Cobus Moolman (4:53), Nicholas Andrew (4:56) and Sebastien Lacour for a Sub-5 Ultra.

Davide Del Fante (2:07) was 7^th overall in the long trail run on Friday. Caitlin Van Den Berg (2:33) won the Vest category and was 4^th lady overall. Davide and Caitlin also did the Ultra on Saturday.

Chris Muller (1:18) and Simon Beamish (1:28) for their Sub-90 Halfs on Saturday.

TRAINING THIS WEEK:

SWIM: The Canal Swim will be on Saturday afternoon at 16:00. This will be the new timeslot until spring.

BIKE: On Saturday morning we will do an easy 2 -3 hour road bike ride from the Camps Bay Vida at 07:30.

RUN: Track will be this evening (Tuesday) at the Green Point Cricket Club at 18:00.

EVENTS:

The Autumn Night Run Series kicks off tomorrow (Wednesday) evening at Groot Constantia. On Saturday there is the 10 K Delta Draf at the Solms-Delta Estate in Franschoek.

On Saturday the Breede Mountain Bike event offers routes ranging from 46 Km to 5 Km.

FUTURE EVENTS:

A reminder that today is the last day that you can enter for the Discovery WTS ITU Triathlon and make your entry count towards free entries for ATC. All entries close on 14 April.
