Congratulations to all our members who participated in the CTTA Championship at the Blue Lagoon Triathlon! It was a great day of racing when, thankfully, the weather, if not the wind, held off until after the race.
Our Juniors performed exceptionally well with Angeliq Coetzer, Rebecca Flack and Julia Monk making a clean sweep of the 14-15 podium in the sprint race. Under the boys, Frederick Stafford won the Super-Sprint race overall to become the Districts Triathlon and Duathlon Champion for 2021 in the 14-15 AG.
In the Sprint Race, Rebecca Nolan and Rebecca Monk took silver and bronze in the 16-17 AG. Aimee Scott is the 18-19 Champ and Joe Botha took bronze under the 18-19 men.
Congratulations also to our Senior Age Group champions:
Jacques Badenhorst (20-24), Liza Visser (25-29), Leigh Charlton (35-39), A-J Spieringshoek (35-39), Ryan Heydenrych (40-44), Carol Watton (50-54) and Ryk Lochner (50-54).
In the Sprint event for seniors, which was not a championship event, our ladies, Leanda Du Bruyn, Clare Townsend and Rezaan Lotz made a clean sweep of the podium. Our men took the top 5 positions: Congratulations to: Bruere Kloppers, Bradley Janse Van Rensburg, David Vaughan, Christopher Van Der Walt and Myles Kritzinger.
