NO Canal Swim this week – Win a Garmin Forerunner 935 – Mandela Day Ride – New Access Gate for Track

NEWS:

Win a New Garmin Forerunner 935!
We have a brand new Garmin Forerunner 935 Tri-Bundle to give away through a fund-raiser competition for the ATC Development fund.  The competition is already running and this awesome prize will be awarded at our July Club Time Trial.   Whet your appetite by viewing the specs of this incredible device on-line and then get ready to play.

To play, purchase your ticket from Tri SPaza for R50.  You can also buy tickets (cash or card) at our bi-weekly Track sessions on Tuesday Mornings and Wednesday evenings.

Once you've bought your ticket, find out in what year the Atlantic Triathlon Club was established and post the phrase below on one or all of these social media channels:  FACEBOOK, TWITTER and / or INSTAGRAM

"I'm in with a chance to win the new @GarminSA Forerunner 935 with @ATCMultisport, #Establishedyyyy"   (yyyy = the year that ATC was established).

For Facebook you will need to like the Garmin and ATC Multisport Facebook Pages in order to tag them in posts.  For the other channels you can use the tags as shown above.

You can also create your own phrase if you like, as long as it contains the mentioned tags and hashtags.

The competition will end at the ATC AGM 2017 and Club Time Trial, to be held on Wednesday 26 July.  The winner will be drawn from valid ticket holders, who are paid up ATC Members and who have posted the above phrase on at least one of the mentioned social media channels.  You do NOT have to be present at the draw in order to win the prize.

Do some homework by viewing our About Us Page.

TRAINING:  Details here...

SWIM:  There will be NO CANAL SWIM on Saturday.

There is no training scheduled for this weekend as we will be in Knysna for the Forest Marathon.  Next week we will be back on the normal schedule, starting with Track on Tuesday morning at 06:00.  Please note new entrance arrangement below:

TRACK RUN:  From Tuesday 20 July, you will have to enter the track from the delivery gate at P4.  Please show your ATC Barcode Tag to the security guard in the booth, located at the gate, and proceed to scan in on our sign-in system, which will be located just inside the track grounds.  You are welcome to park in Parking Area P4, which is to your right as you approach the Stadium in Vlei Road, whilst travelling towards Cape Town Stadium, before you get to the Athletics Track.  Please view the layout image further down in this email.  This will offer the closest parking to the entrance.

Access to the toilets will be provided from inside the track.

You must to bring your barcode tag along as you will not be able to access the rack grounds without it.

TRACK LEVY:

A reminder that we are now paying for the flood lights used during our sessions at the Green Point Athletics Stadium.  We therefore had to introduce a R50 Training Levy for all track users as well.  This is the same levy that swimmers are paying for the canal swim, so if you have already paid that this season, you don’t have to pay again now.

The levy of R50 is charged once per year and will increase to R80 from 1 August 2017.  Members who have recently paid the R50 or who pays before 31 July 2017 will not have to pay again until August 2018.  Members are requested to purchase the levy online or at the next training session.
