The Cape Town Marathon doubled as the ATC Club Championships for the Marathon distance running event. The basic rule is that the first ATC male and female, licensed through ATC, in ATC Running gear, to finish will be crowned the ATC Male and Female Champ, respectively. With the staggered start used in this year’s event, we looked at the mat-to-mat finish times to determine the winner.
Congratulations to Bernard Griesel and Jana Du Preez, who are our club champions for the marathon!
Finishing a marathon in under 3 hours is no mean feat and this year we had no less than 8 Sub-3 runners. Congratulations to: Mark Hankin, Bernard Griesel, Khaya Jara, Mike Van Der Merwe, Neo Leanya, Ben Nortier, Joshua Lazarus and Greg Saharin. Greg Calothi finished in just over 3 hours.
All our members’ results are below. Note that we could not download all the race results, so our results are based on those runners who selected ATC as their running club. Please let us know if you should be on the results and is not.
