Embark Training Programs
Next Tuesday, 12 January at 18:00, the Embark Lite Summer Beginners Triathlon coached group training program will kick off with an Orientation evening at the Green Point Cricket Club. This is a complete beginners program, so no previous experience is required. This program is aimed at getting novices to their first triathlon or duathlon through hands-on coached group training. We will cover everything you need to know about completing a triathlon or duathlon. The chosen event is the Discovery ITU Cape Town Triathlon / Duathlon, which will take place on the 23rd and 24th of April 2016. This gives us 4 months to get everyone up to speed and confident enough to tackle the first race!
This orientation session is open to anyone, even if you do not intend to do the goal triathlon race. It is an introduction to triathlon, looking at how the sport works, training needed and equipment required.
Everyone is welcome to join the training program, even if you do not plan on doing the goal race. Join us as we learn in a fun, social and safe environment to become fit and healthy in be part of a coached group training community.
Embark is also launching its Ironman 70.3 Durban training on the same night. So you can also find out about this 5 month course in preparation for the fast and flat Durban course. Our coaches are certified, have raced the course and have in-depth knowledge of triathlon through years or racing and coaching.
